Overview
BFK-1104S is a solution of low molecularweight unsaturated polycarboxylic acid polymer and polysiloxane copolymer. Itis used as a controlled flocculation dispersant for solvent-based medium tohigh polar performance coatings to prevent the mixing of titanium dioxide andcolor pigments. When floating and blooming, it also contains a small amount ofpolysiloxane copolymer to improve the floating and blooming behavior. Thisingredient can prevent the formation of Bede\'s vortex, increase surfacesmoothness and leveling, and improve the effect of matting powder and aluminumsilver powder. Orientation, in most cases without the need to add additionalsilicone additives that must be used in conventional formulations.
Chemical composition
Solution of low molecular weightunsaturated polycarboxylic acid polymer and polysiloxane copolymer
Physical properties
Appearance: Transparent liquid
Active ingredients: 53%
Solvent: xylene/diisobutylketone
Usage and dosage
General pigments or fillers need to beadded before grinding and stir thoroughly.
The general dosage for inorganic pigmentsis 3-10% of the weight of the pigment.
The general dosage for organic pigments is10-20% of the weight of the pigment.
The general dosage of titanium dioxide is0.5-2.5% of the weight of the pigment.
Things to note
When the temperature is low, flocculationwill occur. This is a normal phenomenon. Please heat it to melt it and it willnot affect its effect.
